Indore Institute of Law organized a theatre drama titled ‘Fandi’. The program started in a traditional way with lighting of lamp and seeking the blessings of Goddess Sarawati epitome of learning. Mr. Akshay Kanti Bam, Chairman of Indore Institute of law introduced about the drama. Considering the cases of mercy killing our college realized the importance of it and taken initiative to present the scenario in front of spectators.
The Director of the drama was Mr. Nitesh Upadhyay, (Director, Anvrat Theatre Group). ‘Fandi’, a drama which was based on mercy killing begins with considering the view of different idealists. The drama tells about a person namely Fandi who killed his father due to poverty and was imprisoned. Due to poverty he couldn’t even hire the lawyer but then government provides the lawyer to him.
The lawyer helped him get justice. Our country, has not yet framed any law on it. So thus there is no judgment passed yet on this case.
